The 10-Second Privacy Summary
At Go Passport Photo (gopassportphoto.com), your privacy is guaranteed by technology, not just promises. All cropping, background adjustment, and 4R sheet generation take place 100% locally inside your web browser using HTML5 Canvas. Your photos are never uploaded to any cloud server, database, or third-party service.
01. Zero Server Upload Architecture
Traditional passport photo tools upload your private portrait to a remote server for processing. Go Passport Photo operates entirely client-side. When you select or drop an image into our photo studio:
- The image binary is decoded exclusively inside your browser's V8 Javascript engine memory (`RAM`).
- HTML5
<canvas>elements perform image cropping, scaling, rotation, and 4R printable matrix generation on your CPU/GPU locally. - When you click "Download Photo Sheet", the browser generates a local `data:` blob or download URL straight to your device disk.
- No network packets containing your image payload are sent over HTTP/HTTPS to any backend server.
02. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because we do not use a backend image processing pipeline, we collect:
❌ No Facial Recognition
We do not extract, store, or analyze biometric facial vectors, facial geometry, or personal identity metrics.
❌ No Image Logs
We keep zero temporary or permanent copies of your photos. Refreshing or closing the tab completely clears browser memory.
❌ No Account Required
You do not need to register, sign up, submit an email address, or create a password to use our full suite of tools.
❌ No Payment Data
Our tool is 100% free. We never ask for credit cards, payment billing info, or financial details.
03. Browser LocalStorage & Technical Data
We use minimal client-side browser features strictly to improve your user experience:
- Theme Preference (`localStorage.getItem('theme')`): Stores whether you prefer Light Mode or Dark Mode.
- Standard Web Server Logs: Like all websites, our hosting CDN (such as Vercel / Cloudflare) may record standard technical HTTP headers (IP address, user agent, browser type, referral domain) for security monitoring, DDoS prevention, and rate-limiting. This technical log data is never linked to any personal identity or image content.
04. GDPR & CCPA Compliance
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have rights regarding Personal Identifiable Information (PII):
Because gopassportphoto.com processes zero PII and uploads zero image data, there is no personal data held on our servers to inspect, export, or delete. Your data privacy is inherently protected by design (Privacy by Architecture).
